I enjoy creating handmade soaps and lotions with both “all-natural” options for those who are sensitive to strong/artificial fragrances and ingredients like I am, as well as “mostly natural” options for those who are not sensitive but appreciate the quality of handmade personal care items.
Several years ago, I started making my own lotions because of my sensitive skin. Then for a hobby, I started making soap for my family and as gifts for friends. During the 2020 COVID pandemic, I did a complete “180” from my previous preference for liquid soaps to bar soaps. There is a scrubbing involved with a good-lathering bar of soap that just makes you feel like you’re doing something right! I have adopted the motto: “Don’t be gross, wash your hands!”
Having an alternative that is not heavily scented with artificial fragrances is important to me because of my own experiences, and I want to offer an option to others who, like myself, are not able to use/enjoy the products in this category that are normally offered. All natural can still be pretty!
